Document processing with review where it matters.
A document is only useful to the next system when its contents can be trusted. We build workflows that classify incoming material, extract the fields that matter and route exceptions to a reviewer before the result moves on.
Where it fits
This work fits recurring document handling where people identify a document, copy values and check them against a rule or another source. The aim is a usable record with a trace back to the input. Document formats, image quality and the cost of a wrong field shape the scope.
Example workflow
Consider an incoming document that must become a record in an existing platform. The workflow identifies its type, extracts the agreed fields and checks required values and formats. A field that fails a check or falls below an agreed confidence threshold is routed for review. The final record retains its source reference and the review decision before it is passed to the destination.
Define the record you need
We start with the downstream task: which fields are required, what makes each one valid and which mistakes need a person to resolve. Classification and extraction are then evaluated on representative documents, including awkward layouts and incomplete inputs. A confidence score is useful only when its relationship to actual errors has been checked.
Measure the review work
We compare extracted values with checked answers and measure where review is still needed. Field accuracy, review volume, handling time and processing cost belong in the same assessment. The workflow should make an exception understandable to a reviewer and preserve corrections as evidence for later evaluation.
What the delivery includes
We agree the scope and acceptance criteria around the selected workflow. The delivery covers the working service and what your team needs to take it over.
- An agreed document taxonomy, output field definitions and validation rules for the selected scope.
- A processing workflow for classification, extraction and routing of exceptions, with references back to the input.
- An evaluation set and results showing field-level errors and the review workload on the agreed sample.
- The agreed handoff to the next system, together with processing logs and a record of review decisions.
- Code, infrastructure as code and operating guidance for document failures, changes in input and reprocessing.
What we need from you
- Representative documents you are permitted to share for the work, including low-quality or unusual examples.
- Checked answers for the fields that matter and a person who can settle ambiguous cases.
- Expected volume, document types, languages and the formats required by the destination system.
- Rules for retention, access and data location, together with an owner for the review queue and daily operation.
Constraints to settle before rollout
- Unseen layouts, poor image quality and incomplete documents can change accuracy and review volume.
- Required accuracy and review thresholds must be evaluated per field and use case; a single headline score does not settle acceptance.
- Review capacity and access to representative samples limit how much of the workflow can responsibly move into production.
Ownership and handover
The system runs in your accounts, with the code and infrastructure as code handed over to your team. We build the service; your team owns daily operation. Read our delivery methodology and approach to accounts, access and data residency for the wider delivery boundaries.

Bring one concrete workflow
Describe the document types, the fields you need, approximate volume and what happens after extraction. Start with a description of the samples available; we can agree how to exchange them.
