Contracts Planet Labs Secures $22M NGA Contract Extension for Maritime AI

Planet Labs Federal received a one-year, $22 million option-year extension under the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's Luno B program. The contract covers AI-enabled Maritime Domain Awareness under the Advanced Analytics for Maritime Operations and Reconnaissance (AAMOR) initiative, focusing on automated detection of ship-to-ship transfers and vessels operating without location beacons. Planet concurrently won a separate undisclosed contract with NGA and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) for a Global Monitoring Service providing near-daily change detection. Research NASA Adds Eight Vendors to $476M Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition Contract
